SNOW DAY!!!

Today was the second day off from school and today is the first REAL snowfall this winter. I took Kellan out to the front yard and we made a Snow Angel, then slid down the drive way a few times. She seemed pretty indifferent, but I thought it was fun. So here are the first of many future snow day pictures. Look close at the finished Snow Angel, the tail of her snow suite left an impression!

Today I made my first Diaper Cake. This cake was made for a trivia night at the school I work at. It was so much fun. Please let me know what you think of it!!!

Exersaucer

Uncle Nick is to thank for the fun exersaucer!!!

Christmas 2008

Kellan's first visit with Santa. I do believe she is trying to decide what she wants for Christmas.
We spent two weeks with my husband's Klan. We also took a day to go visit my brother Nick and his two kids.
The trip home was great but like every visit with family TOO SHORT!

Playtime

I took this picture in November. This was the first time she started to bat at her toys. She has found a real fondness for the black and white cow.

Halloween 2008

We wanted to get a Princess Leia costume for her but seems we were unable to find one small enough for her first Halloween. WE DID HOWEVER find a Wookiee, Chewbacca costume and put the pink bow in the hair to make it more feminine.
The first smile caught on camera. I took this picture the first week we were home, Kellan is 8 days old in this picture. This was also the only time she wore her Eskimo Joe's T-shirt. We had a fairly cold October and she grew out of it quickly.

This my first blog so I am going back a little. This is Kellan's hospital photo taken on Sept.30th the day we were to leave the hospital.
My pregnancy was fairly easy, no morning sickness or any major concerns. In my 7th month we flew to Las Vegas for husband's High School Reunion. I swelled up and kept most of it until about 2 weeks after Kellan was born. My Dr. scheduled an induction for Monday Sept. 29th but strong contractions began on Saturday Sept. 27th at 12:05 am. We went to the hospital at 8am after stopping at the DMV and Mcdonald's! We were sent home around 10am since there was no "real" progress. I was told to come back when the contractions were closer together (closer than 5 min) OR when they became "unbearable". I made my husband take me back to the hospital around 10 pm Saturday night. My contractions were then 3 min. apart and I really wanted drugs to help me get some sleep. Sunday Sept. 28th came and still no notable progress, I was started on pitocin and received my epidural at 2pm. Kellan arrived at 4:44pm Sunday afternoon. She is the greatest thing I have ever done!
